In 2021 my husband sold his beloved motorbike and bought a classic beetle as we had had our son and wanted something we could all use together; his dream car, and we wanted to go to some meets to get to know some likeminded people. With a 14-month-old we needed to find a family friendly bunch of people. Nervous but excited to meet new people we got in search of local groups near us.
Someone was definitely looking out for us when we met WVVW at a charity event at Brockswood Animal Sanctuary, such a welcoming group of people and a versatile mix of VWs. This is where we met Lee, who doesn't give himself enough credit, one of the kindest people I know, and has time for everyone.
Unfortunately, we can't do camping just yet as they sound like an amazing time, but the charity events are perfect for our little family. We even celebrated hubby's 30th birthday with a VW picnic with them. A memory we will cherish. In August 2021 I bought my 72 beetle and joined the fun, and the challenge, and not long after that we found out we were expecting baby number 2! My two boys love the meets and days out with our WVVW friends. We have certainly made some friends for life. I couldn't recommend WVVW more and one day we hope to be able to go camping with them when the boys are older.
Don't hesitate to go to WVVW events 🤙
